Terms of Service

Effective date: October 16, 2026

Forge.AVM is operated by Alexander Valdovinos, an individual. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language on purpose — this is a small, independently-run tool, not a document meant to assert compliance with any specific legal framework.

1. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Forge.AVM to:

  • Break the law, or infringe someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
  • Upload malware, or attempt to disrupt, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data.
  • Abuse the AI features (Ember, Cinder, Hearth, import) to generate illegal content, or to attempt to extract other users' data, credentials, or system prompts.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

2. Your content is yours

You own the specs, BOM, notes, photos, 3D models, and everything else you put into your projects. By using the service, you give us the limited permission needed to store it, display it back to you, and — for the AI features — send relevant parts of it to our AI provider to generate a response, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't claim ownership of your content, and we don't use it to train anything ourselves.

3. Public sharing is your responsibility

Forge.AVM lets you turn on a public share link for a project, or feature projects on a public portfolio page. Turning either on is entirely your decision, and so is what you write into the Showcase notes that become visible there. We don't review what you choose to make public. Once a link is public, anyone who has it — or finds it — can view that content, whether or not they have an account.

4. Do not store secrets or credentials in notes

Builder notes are private to your account under normal use, but they are a notes field in a web app, not a secrets manager — they are not encrypted at rest for this purpose, are not audited the way a credential vault would be, and (like any part of the product) are included if you ever duplicate or hand off a project to someone else as its owner. Do not paste passwords, API keys, private keys, tokens, or other credentials into any notes field, Builder or Showcase. If you've already put a secret in a note, treat it as compromised and rotate it — don't rely on deleting the note after the fact.

5. Accounts

You're responsible for the security of your own account credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.

6. Subscriptions

Forge Pro is billed through Stripe. Subscription price, billing interval, and cancellation are managed from your account's billing settings. We don't prorate or guarantee refunds for partial billing periods except where required to make something right.

7. Service provided as is

Forge.AVM is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind — no guarantee of uptime, data durability beyond ordinary backups, or that AI-generated output (firmware code, roadmaps, extracted specs or BOM entries) is accurate or safe to use without review. You're responsible for verifying anything the AI features produce before you act on it, especially firmware code and mesh/print analysis.

8. Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which starts a 14-day recoverable deletion, described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates Section 1, with or without notice depending on severity.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use Forge.AVM after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to avmworks22@gmail.com.
